We found the breathtaking scenery some of the best in New Zealand. Further, the drive to Milford Sound from Te Anau is one of the best road trips in the country. A Milford Sound trip had been on our travel wish list for a long time. But the great distance to get there, involving a long drive or an expensive flight, was the main reason we never went there.
